Various different types of alerts can be displayed on the map and these are colour coded by severity. More severe alerts are also prioritised in terms of visibility when multiple alerts are triggered. These are the different alerts to look out for:
Critical Alerts (Red)
SOS – triggered when the participant presses and holds the tracker function button
Off track – triggered when the participant leaves the assigned route
Priority Alerts (Dark ORaNGe)
Idle – triggered when a participant hasn’t moved
Backtracking – triggered when a participant travels backwards along the assigned route
Warnings (Amber)
Waiting for data – triggered when the participant’s device either cannot connect or has not been able to obtain a GPS fix
Info Alerts (Green)
Distance travelled – triggered by progress along the assigned route
Alert cleared – triggered when one of the above alerts is resolved
GPS Alerts (Black)
Stale fix – triggered when a device is repeatedly transmitting the same GPS fix
